When I was young my Grandmother kept some ceramic horses on the mantel. She said my sister and I would get them some day "when we were old enough". Every time we visited we drooled over them and asked if we were old enough yet. If we were very very good (which we weren't often) we would be allowed to "play" with them, under strict supervision of course. Well., the day finally came and we happily took possession of the prized pieces with promises to take good care of them. Not too long after, two neighborhood kids broke into our home and, among other things, made sure to break every one of our delicate beauties. The kids had been visiting in our house the day before as we innocently showed off our most treasured possessions.

The above collection is probably a subconscious attempt to regain those lost horses. But who cares. I like them and will continue to collect more!

Also in my collection is a 1995 limited edition #1274/3500 Lefton carousel horse given to me by Mrs. Annette Longino.
